This was the day of Jesus' celebratory entry into Jerusalem where the crowds placed palm fronds under the donkey's feet.

Compline is an ancient service of prayer for the end of the day.

After the service there will be a prayer vigil in the Lady Chapel representing Christ's agony in the garden of Gethsemene. All are welcome to come along and pray. Stay for a short while or as long as you wish.
Friday 22nd April
Good Friday
Jesus is crucified. He is on the cross for six hours before He dies. Then the curtain of the temple was rent from top to bottom, the sky darkened, tombs opened and there was an earthquake.

A two hour devotional services with readings, prayer before the cross and Communion
Saturday 23rd April

Easter Eve 8.00 pm Easter Vigil
Starting in darkness, outside church, the ‘new fire’ is lit, and then from it the Easter Candle. In church the light of Christ is shared as we light candles. We listen to the story of God’s people from creation and exodus onwards, through to the dying and rising of Jesus. Baptismal vows are renewed and we share in the first Eucharist of Easter.
Sunday 24th April Easter Day
The women visit the tomb and find the stone rolled away and the grave empty. An angel tells them that He is risen.
